The oil pressure was fine. I finally have a solid diagnosis, the engine is gone. I really want to keep my Jeep, but I survive off of monthly disability and the cheapest price I've got so far is $1600 (1200 engine,400 labor). I paid $3200 for it in October, so I am really bummed out about this entire situation. I was driving a Ford with 72,000 miles I had 3 payments remaining and while parked it was totaled. I only had a month to get a vehicle and I always wanted a jeep. My son and I looked at quite a few and this one was by far the best choice, so we thought.
The guy that looked at the jeep is a mechanic at US Naval Academy and checked it out as a favor for a friend. He asked what I would be willing to sell it for without the engine. The jeep is clean, new tires, no rust,141,000 miles. I don't know what to do. You all have been so very helpful too me,if it were what would you do in this same situation.
