They're thick. Those tanks can take abuse.

Jake could be on to something when he mentioned the fans, I'd pop the hood and check before you buy a new fan relay. The blend door could be a possibilty, but it's electrically actuated in your jeep and I feel like you notice it sooner if it was stuck in full heat.
With all that said, sounds like a refrigerant pressure problem. You'll need to put a manifold gauge set on there to find out though.
Perfect answer!

Only to add that the condenser is often replaced in a compressor failure situation as it is hard or impossible to flush all debris out.

I don't remember a compression problem. The engine was swapped out last year and the AC was not recharged. SDC mentioned a fan shroud in a PM to me and I don't have one. I've been reading almost all day and now I am totally . I'll get someone with more experience and tools to check pressure. The one thing I do know is that I'm not going to purchase a new ac system if I can help it. Thanks to everyone for your help .

Welcome. If you have an android, youll never post pictures that way. Use a computer and photo bucket.

Try to keep up, we post a lot in here.

My mistake. When you said swap I thought you meant the A/C compressor was the only thing that was swapped. I forgot that you're engine was swapped too. Also, what the hell is the guy's problem with not wanting to properly troubleshoot your A/C and diagnose what the cause of lack of cooling is? That's BS to just want to replace the whole thing without knowing what's up.
