I bought a safari top and windshield channel for the YJ, but I'm having second thoughts. I'd have to screw the channel into the windshield frame, and I don't know if I could latch my soft top with the channel there. I wouldn't wanna remove and reinstall it often since it uses sheet metal screws.

Besides that, our weather is either great or a ****ing monsoon, so I feel like topless/soft top are the only options I really need.

Anyone have an opinion on something I may not be considering?

I bought a header channel and safari top and I never use them because they do need to be removed if you want your soft top back on. Mine also wrapped around the roll bar preventing me from having grab handles.

Are there D rings? I never understood why you would want a front receiver. .

Plate can only handle so much, also mount your license plate there. The only benefit i see is for straight pulls, and to put a trail hitch in and park trailers like a boss.

But with most receivers being rated a paltry 5k... I wouldn't do it.

Winch is only as good as the weakest link.
