I will be at the meet and greet. Our sitter cancelled so unless we find another my wife won't make it. Sucks because this would have been her return trip since she swore off the Jeep after RC and I blame Pudgy Fingers for video taping thus causing me to show off in the jeep, lol.

I may or may not be there tomorrow with one person. I have school in the AM then work. But im not sure if Katie's band performance is going to be long or not.

Had my first problem with the cooling system after the upgrade and boy was it a pain in the ****. I did the 3 fan electrical conversion from Dirtbound Offroad minus the 3 fans. There supplier was having major issues on the manufacturing end so Dirtbound was trying to find another. I went with Opti fans. I bought 4 10" fans, 1 for spare (luckily) and 3 for install. Had everything wired and running great so went for a test drive to a friends house last night. While standing there talking to him with the truck running it shot from 210 to 260 and blew coolant out of the overflow bottle. We started checking all the obvious things, mind you it was around 9:30pm and dark, fans, coolant, cap and then we just started guessing because everything was checking out.
Went home and pulled the stat then boiled it. Watched it open like it should. Came home from work early this morning to go over everything and on the way stopped at NAPA. Picked up and installed new thermostat and gasket. Refilled the coolant system and ran it with no problem for over 30 minutes then bang overheat except this time was watching for it and had daylight. The center fan which is brand new crapped out after running for some time. Got out my handy dandy clamp meter for DC and no amps. The thing that made it tough after it stops the 2 other fans start it spinning backward so in the dark it looked like it was still running. Shut off and let cool then the fan motor works. Let it stay on for awhile with engine running and it craps out. Confirmed by troubleshooting the problem and having it happen twice this morning. Swapped with my spare motor and no issue. Called opti and they are overnighting a replacement fan.

Glad you got the problem sorted out. Good thing you bought the extra fan. I'm surprised that the 2 fans on the sides weren't enough to keep it from overheating though.

So I'll be guest instructing a firearms course for a friend since he is on summer vacation so I was checking out the company's website and I found out they use Cherokee's for their off road training. Pretty sweet. I wonder what lifts they use.

With the center fan out while the other 2 were running at idle I think it was short cycling the air flow. In another words it was drawing air threw the center fan so air wasn't coming across the radiator. Path of least resistance.

Makes sense. I had always thought having a multiple fan set up would be great from both a cooling standpoint as well as having a back up fan if one failed.
