I know this is a stupid ?? but what is the benefit of changing the rear axel from the dana 35 to the 8.25 rear? Want to make the right upgrade

Jeremy, you would be the Dana 35
Jacob the 8.25
Josh would be like a Dana 60, but with a broken axle shaft.

I'm thinking about selling the flat flares anyone interested? I can't figure out how to do the rears. Don't really dig the look without the rears.

That's called regearing. You'll need 4.56 if auto to run 33's or 4.88 to go 35. cost anywhere from 300 - 600 per axle to regear. unless you can do it yourself. Not a easy undertaking.
