Cops don't shoot to wound. they shoot to kill. this means multiple shots if needed. this guy was also on drugs. drugs make people superhuman sometimes, and it takes more than one to bring them down.
I understand how drugs work..... and apparently they don't shoot to kill. He didn't die. There are plenty of places to hit that are a kill shot. Then again I have never killed anything with a 9mm. My 45 pits things down in 1.

Like I said glad they got him but we need to keep people in check. At least as much as the state keeps me in check.

they aim for the chest/center mass. biggest area to hit. i mean shoot to kill as in they're not going to aim for a leg to stop him from running. they're not going to aim for the head because it's a smaller target. shooting target and shooting at live people are 2 entirely different things. when its life or death you're not taking your time to completely aim down the sights perfectly. with the program im in with the sheriffs office they have something called FATS program. firearm training simulator. it's basically a shoot don't shoot $80,000 video game. after having done that I see why they do it the way they do it. if they shoot. they're trying to kill him. more or less stop him from moving or doing harm to other people. harford county uses .40 S&W. which is actually a good caliber for LEOs. it has enough stopping power (more than a 9mm) but yet it wont go through several layers of drywall and possibly hit innocent bystanders. there's reasoning behind everything.

I'm only saying all of this because I hate hearing people bash Law Enforcement. yes, sometimes things could have gone another way, but also you weren't there. don't have their training, and you don't have to deal with this stuff on a daily basis. plus the media. when have you ever seen/heard them say something 100% accurate.

As for the charges, not sure if they all fit but that's for the judge and jury to decide. He may get charged for those but may only get sentenced for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Or rather aggravated harassment since he didn't even touch them with it
in reality police are not there to protect you. their safety is their priority number one. they will wait outside for backup to have safety in numbers if need be. you attack them, they will fight back one way or another. when through the academy they do go over people with a knife and theres a certain distance that allows them to shoot. i think its like 10 feet. and if you're going towards them, probably holding it in a threatening manor. yeah...they're probably going to shoot.

You ain't gonna tell me. Where im from, theres always cops shooting someone. Its always hearsay about what happens and everyone makes assumptions and stories. Only a few ever know the truth

yeah. well I'm just saying from what I've been taught (via sheriffs office, the one that was involved in this case) and through experience with them and such. We get almost the same type of training as them, just a whole lot less intense and not nearly as much.

Hopefully getting my steering squared away soon. My front tires are wearing bad. Waiting on one tre before I get an alignment.
