Played with a new app and thought this was cool. Was measuring for bumpstops, and I got it all cleaned up.

Also swapped in the Polk speakers from the xj into it. New valve cover gasket, and I poorly painted the valve cover red.

Of coursed I managed to snap the pcv on the back of it. Couldn't find another one today so, I found a chrome one in my garage that fit the hole perfectly and then I taped up the vacuum line. I'll replace it when I find it.

Was in the middle of a decent sized bonfire. Then fire department guy came and said someone called it in.

He said he would have let us burn it, but since someone called it in they had to have it put out.

Lame.
I assume because all the fire warnings and the fact that a huge fire broke out on south mountain yesterday.

That'd make sense. A friend of mine back home called in a fire in the forest that started from an abandoned campsite. That got taken care of quickly.

So that 21mo old that was beaten to death in Frederick... That was in my apartment building. I just heard about it, but it explains this scene from the other night:

Yea, if I would have known we were in a burn ban, I would have called in since we have a permit.

What the hell? Since I've left MD there's been multiple murders in Frederick, Columbia mall shooting, a bank robbery amongst other things. I'm kind of glad we left. I wonder if it has anything to do with the more strict gun laws???
