Good afternoon everyone,
I will be changing my differential fluid this week for my first time. I was under my jeep earlier getting familiar with things and a noticed a tab on my rear diff that said "1220". I was wondering if any of you knew what that meant? It's a Chrysler 8.25 I was thinking maybe it meant if I had a LSD or not. I have the factory tow package I believe so any help would be appreciated.

I don't believe there was an option for LSD in the 8.25 from the factory.

They do, but it's rare. Jack the rear up in neutral. Spin one tire forward, if the other spins forward it's LSD. If opposite, it's open. Or pull the cover and find out.

also, an easy way for checking from the factory (not completely proof though) is check the glove box for a sticker.
