At some point I'm sure I will today.
I've already driven 2 different skid steers and 2 different trucks today.

Last day of actual classes today. Then 2 finals tuesday and one on Thursday.

Then it's summer vacation. Decided to only take one class over the summer instead of 3.

Considering a topend job for my 4.0. Can I run a 7120 head on my '00? Trying to get rid of the 0331 and read that the 7120s have the best flow and still maintain the coolant temp provision.

main issue is coil pack attachment (no way to attach on the 7120), but you can fab a bracket to hold those easy.

You'll also need to swap the exhaust manifold or adapt yours to fit the ports.

You can use a 0630 also, same exact head as the 7120 but with a boss for the coolant sensor in the head (just block off). On your 2000 there should only be a coolant temp sensor in the thermostat housing.

Thanks once again for the sharing of knowledge duke.

Take a look at this

power curve is from 1500-3800

Port and polish the new head, gasket match the manifolds, cowl intake, roller rockers, heavier weight springs, moly pushrods and the cam/fresh bearings. Should see about 40-55 more horses and about the same in ft/lbs

All about the flow broseph..... The head and manifolds currently on the 4.0 are designed for quick warm up for optimum emissions reduction. They do that by creating turbulence in the runners and ports. Already have a higher flowing exhaust system aside from the exhaust mani. If I am taking the head off I mind as well replace it with a header. Then I dont have to worry about the head or the stock mani cracking
