Go get a coolant pressure tester from Advance on loan....pressure test it.and see if it holds the pressure. If the system.does.not.visibly leak...but is losing pressure it will still overheat. If it does lose the pressure...pump it back up and start looking/feeling around for a leak.

Fan clutch probably needs replacing. What dictates a bad radiator cap? Would this be a suitable replacement? http://tinyurl.com/kxpmtyy (amazon link) was looking into that cap because my temp gauge doesn't work. Also would like to know when safe to remove radiator cap. Hoses are fg hot. Valve cover is fg hot. Flush was done with a kit that adds a garden hose attachment to the thermostat hose and runs out of the distributor cap. Ill even replace the distributor cap and remove the radiator plug and let it drain out there. I don't remove the bottom radiator hose. Maybe ill do that next?
