Symptoms - at idle, it would feel like the motor was under load, then no load (in P, D, and N). Loud screeching noise and burnt clutch smell. Little bit of smoke (not coolant, or oil). Sounds exactly like a bad throw out bearing.

My current setup includes a budget boost 2 inch shackle/ spacer combo, psc steering box, rugged ridge sye, on 16inch moabs. Iv'e seen a few lifted xj's in my area (damascus, md) and plan on learning alot from this site.

New cluster is installed and didn't even need new sending units. Apparently they are the same for a gauge as a light?*scratches head* dude at the parts store only showed one listing for oil and coolant which was what I had and sure enough he was right. So yay for knowing how the engine is feeling. Thanks again mike.
Welcome silverbrick.

I order from Tower Hobbies, some of the cooler stuff comes from hobby shops dedicated to rock crawling.
Pro-Line makes the XJ and MJ shells.
I'll have some really cool pictures tomorrow. Scratchbuilt all of the light buckets for the Cherokee, mounting them now. Also mounted a snorkel tonight
