JCR bumpers are crazy expensive for ZJs, I would shop around but you cant go wrong with sturdy bumpers

Correct on the 44a, I just hadn't heard many negatives about it... not enough to go through the trouble of a transplant

and what do you guys have against drum brakes? The D35 drums are approaching inadequate with tools and gear/real steel bumpers but the Waggy D44 I am transplanting still has drums and they are staying. The 35 I believe is a 10" drum and the D44 is 12" IIRC. The big thing with drums is to make sure the adjuster is working and dont blow the drums off with compressed air. Instacancer cloud

The insta cancer thing make me laugh, although i know its true lol. As for drums, my jeep has more ccontrol with discs. I always kept up on the drums but between the cylinders going or the drums heating up in stop and go traffic and also water filling them uo when offroading. Too much work.

I hear ya on the cylinders failing and them getting water logged but surprised at them heating up in stop and go considering the drums are in the rear

I need to order the 8.8 brake stuff soon. Haven't decided if I want to get new calipers for it or not yet. I need new ones for my D30.

Lol you don't know nyc traffic. The wouldn't get hot to the point of catching fire but you could feel them loosing their effectiveness by the time you got through the traffic.

I remember several years back driving through the mountains upstate NY. Was going down steep hills and by the time i reached the bottom i had very little braking from the drums heating up.
