Alright jeepers stop picking your noses and pick your brains. I need to replace the headliner in a 98 Grand Cherokee Limited. I need to know what is classified as an over head console. Would that be a longer console that extends toward the back where a sunroof would be? or do they classify the map lights/compass that is above the rear view as a console. I am leaning toward the first but didn't know if anyone had gone through this before.

Morning. Green2000 I'm sure your talking about the first one. And I'm pretty sure the overhead console and headliner are two different pieces.

They are seperate, but when you order the headliner they have two kinds. With and without the over head console. The woman on the phone had no clue what the difference in the headliners were so I came here to hopefully be enlightened.

I'm going to see if I can test them a little later. Not sure if I'll have to trim my bump stops. There about 1 1/2"-2" above the plate.
