Stakeside trucks
Question 1: Why go through the work of doing a stakeside if it is only temporary

Question 2: Why are you going to ****** it up with a stakeside? Just let the rot be rot, when you start doing the heavy fab you can worry about getting rid of it then.

It'll be a couple years before I think about bagging, most likely, due to budget. Just thinking about possibilities. And my bed is bad enough that I don't trust it to haul a motor.

I would still invest the money to restore the current bed if that is what you will ultimately run instead of investing in the stakebed. Either way you will be buying/fabbing new floor, sides and tailgate. unless you are considering bagging a stakeside

Man love free fixes. my drivers door latch has been fubar for a while. It was fine as long as you didn't lock it while closed. It wouldn't unlock once closed. Turns out the insides of the latch had pretty much exploded thus jamming up the lock mechanism.

A buddy has a 2dr he's building into an offroad only rig. He gave me the drivers door. Swapped the latch for mine and everything works again.

In case anyone was curious, pre 97 latches are universal when it comes to power locks. There is a separate actuator in the door that just connects by a piece of linkage.

That being said, anyone need a 2dr drivers door shell? has the main window glass still but not the vent. If no one takes it I'm just gonna scrap it.
