Oh. For some reason i thought he was gonna drive it. I was not thinking lol.

And actually if its on a tow dolly you dont need a tag. I asked a deputy and a traffic cop about this in Harford County. I asked specifically if i am towing an untagged vehicle with a tow dolly with no tag is that illegal. Both said no. So i've been doing it a whole bunch.

I'll just keep it 50mph or slower lol. Found another route with low inclines, and low speed.

I don't see any reason why it should be illegal. The vehicle is being hauled; not driven

The MVA and State Police Barracks in Westminster told me that you do not register the Dolly itself but since the tires of the towed car are on the road surface it needs to be registered and insured. If you have a toy hauler, the trailer is registered and the towed vehicle's tires aren't on the road surface so they don't care if its registered or not.

Not to say they will stop you if you don't have tags on a dolly vehicle, just saying that technically they can.... and your local donut munchers are incorrect Rob

Same here haha. Only time we ever gost stopped, my buddy and I were flat towing one of the race cars. PA Statey didnt like that. So we had to play musical chairs with the cars in the trailer to get the one that was tagged behind the RV to be flat towed.

Yeah had to replace all of them on mine as well. I'll look around I think I grabbed a few last time I went junkyarding.

e. I'll be damned if I know where they got to. If you grab them from the junkyard, go for the older xj's the plastic bits seem thicker and sturdier in the pre Chrysler ones.
