its where all jeeps go, once a year, to play on an obstacle a couple of guys built in a back yard, stare at old jeeps, new jeeps, lifted jeeps, stock jeeps, and jeeps so modified you question if they are still jeeps.

I have seafoam to run through it. and I'm thinking about getting another set of injectors too.

I've just been fed up with the Jeep a lot lately and it's getting a little neglected I'll be honest. I drive it to work and ride the bike everywhere else pretty much.

Now I'll be able to actually get more parts for it now that I'm making good money again.

What about that big pile of parts that you have sitting waiting to be put to use?

Just got home from a 5 hour round trip to PA to grab an 8.25 from XJwonders. Good deal and cool guy. I feel like he's a used car salesman though, he kept trying to get me to buy everything.

the jeep will still be relifted, axles swapped, and put on 35s. but I still need a few more parts before I can relift it, and I'll probably just wait til I have everything. so they'll probably sit for awhile longer.

I just havent had the time or energy to mess with it lately. I need the $$ for other stuff right now. Going to Florida in July, Texas in October.

Really itchin to upgrade to 33's but reality is I need to do a bunch of maintenance and upgrades before I go spending money on tires I don't quite need yet.

*sigh*

I am wondering what is everyone's opinion on changing rim size? I was thinking 16's or maybe 17's. When I go to 33's I'm going to purchase a new set of wheels to correct for backspace and such so changing size won't be an issue. There seems to be a wider variety of tires available for 16+ size rims these days.

Many more options at 16". The only problem with bigger rims is less sidewall flex (and greater cost). At 16" you likely won't notice a difference. The people who run 20"+ wheels lose a lot of traction offroad

Yeah, not gonna run "dubs" on my XJ. I was thinkin 16's or maybe 17's. With the 17's I could grab a set of JK rubicon takeoff tires probably for cheap. They're 32's.

In other news I put a stock airbox back on my XJ. No more intake/cone filter. Now I can go with a dukie cowl snorkle if I want. I forgot how much room that stupid airbox takes up though.

Default Selling Jeep

Hey guys, I havn't been around for a while but I'm ready to sell my Jeep, just bought a Toyota Tundra and I havn't drove it in a week and I don't want to pay insurance on a vehicle I don't drive, here are some pictures. It has around 180k miles I believe.

First picture is of the current front end, 98+ I believe, and a smitty built XRC with bull bar, ready for winch.

Second picture is a little old, but it's still just as clean, rims aren't as shiny but can be cleaned back to new, hub caps in center are rusted as they are not powder coated, can order from pacer for I believe 18$ a piece. Tires are stained from a tire gloss I put on it, but can be cleaned with a bit of elbow grease.

bumper and new front end

Older picture.

Here's a short list I put together of things I have done, with an issue it has, my mechanic told me it needs a new tie rod so it will probably need one for inspection.

Chrysler 8.25 Rear | 6-15-2012
Electric Fan | 8-3-2011
Floor Pan | 2-1-2012
Performance Extended Brake Lines | 2-4-2015
Carpet | 6-4-2013
Speakers & Sub | 1-30-2012
Smitty Built XRC Bumper | 5-30-2013
Aluminum Valve Cover + Gasket | 9-25-2013

New Seats from 99+
Front end 99+
Hoses, Water Pump, Radiator
General Grabber AT 31x10.50
3" Rough Country lift
Headliner
shimmed
new brakes
idler pulley
serptine belt
tint
Pacer rims
new front passenger side floor pan, needs rear passenger side but patched with metal, industrial silicone and rivets.
new tail pipe.
Curt hitch, and trailer wiring.
hdradio

Rust on passenger fender

Sorry if this is not the place for this kind of post, but if you are interested I live on the Eastern Shore, right off the Chesapeake Bay Bridge, will send more pics if interested.
