The bushing bolts, I am going to hit a couple of places today to see if I get lucky but the dealerships won't be open until tomorrow.

Factory leaf bolts are M14 x 2.0 pitch x 120mm long, class 10.9, flange head, nipple tip. Should be able to find some at Lowes or Depot. Maybe Tracker Supply if you have one near you.

Thanks for the tips, I.found a way to move forward. I went to NAPA and bought a shackle.kit it had two bolts in it, so I used the two new bolts to go in the welded nuts and used one of the old bolts to go through the bottom of the shackle. The one side is pretty much done except for that old bolt and the other side is about ready to take off. I did not hit Home Depot but I did try Lowe's and they had nothing that big. It is supposed to rain tomorrow so that should give me some time to round those last couple of bolts up, then I can contend with the three broken shock bolts, haha.

Hola. Anyone know where there are any decent older XJs for sale in the mid-Maryland area? I'd rather check with guys or gals on here than go the CraigsList route since I figure people posting on a Cherokee Forum would be more likely to stay on top of their Jeeps. I don't need something pretty. A few dents and dings, rust and bad interior are fine. My brother and I are fairly adept home XJ mechanics so can fix most things but want a sound motor and transmission at least. '96 or older will get me past MD inspection. Only have about $2000 to play with. Thanks

Grabbed a pair at the dealer today, $9 each but they wanted $6 a piece for the nuts. I didn't need them but that is friggin nuts. Next up is to drill out the three broken shock bolts.

Don't waste your time drilling them out. You'll be there forever. Use a long punch or extension and hit the nuts off. Then fish new 5/16" bolts in. Google upper rear cherokee shock bolt replacement.

Thanks for the tip, I was intending to use a piece of wire and fish the new bolts in. I had not thought about using a punch or an extension to just knock them out. Maybe I will hit harbor freight and grab an air hammer?
