Sorry havent been ignoring you
i havent been on in a bit - busy with trying to find work and the g/f & her parents & stuff...

RG-6 is perfect stuff.
IIRC Wilson antennas use the same.

But again, any antenna base you get will come with approx 15-30ft-ish (depending on how much you spend / brand) for your needs.

So unless your building a antenna & base from scratch (hard to do cost effectively cause your going to want to add internals(coils) ) there is no real need to get extra cable unless what you have already doesnt reach in length from one end of the vehicle to the other and you just trying to add an extension.
If thats the case, then I recommend just re-doing it/buying a new one. Adding cable with a coupler "adds resistance" and weakens the signal. But if your not doing long distance stuff with it / only using it to talk within a group / within a couple square miles, then go for it.

Nearly all antennas utilize a standard 3/8” x 24 connecting thread which is supported by 99% of the available antenna mounts available, so getting a connecting coupler that works is the only other thing you have to do.

Gathering it up tomorrow, oddball sizes of 1/4"
The XJ one will be flat on the top, everthing else will be the same. The fun part starts Monday, gotta start grinding and fitting it up

Throwing it out there again..
I'm looking for 5 wheels: 15x8, 5 on 4.5 bolt pattern, black, 3.75"-4" backspacing. I'd like some D-Windows, but I'd be happy with Soft 8s or any brands with similar styles. The thing is, I want 5 for under $150. If anyone has a lead, please let me know. Will pay a bit more if they have 31s with tread mounted.
Thanks, guys.

Oh, and I ran into a guy at a fishin hole today. He had a new Dodge Ram with ARB AirLockers front & rear, a 15,0000lb Warn winch, and electronic in-cab front & rear sway bar disconnects. All factory. I offered to trade, but I made sure he'd pass just in case cause I told him I would have to keep his son's booster seat.

Trip to Hagerstown for a new wheeling park. BTW, guys, I may be going. They changed the schedule, so instead of 22 days in Delaware this month, I got 8. That's $56/day I won't be getting. But it's alright. The shining light at the end is wheeling.
