You guys know anyone/shop who can help me fab some mounts for a set of seats for my xj?

I have a Nice set of leather seats out of a 300m and I wanna get em put in my XJ. I have a spare set of xj tracks and a fairly good idea on how to get em mounted but I lack a welder/fab skills and the few places/people I've talked too just look at me like I'm speaking jibberish.

It's dirty, nasty, hot, but honest work. Will PM you a number later where you can fax a resume. When I go in Thursday night, will put a bug in the owners ear. Since you can turn wrenches, I give it a shot at the maintenance mechanic position....

With all of the talk about spring packs, has anyone ever thought about converting their Cherokee's to rear coils???
I'm thinking about doing it to the 89 in the Spring when I lift it more.

Correction - I have 2 sets - one stock XJ, one Durango. My mains are relatively ****ty too so i'm building the pack before installing it. I won't have spare full packs until I swap the ones that are on mine now for the bastard pack, at which time you can have my stock packs. I'll keep the main spring intact for you if you want.

that's a metric crapton of work, not worth it IMO. Leaf springs are perfect for our trucks.

Any idea when that's gonna be? All my stuff just got put on hold again due to electrical and/or fuel problems

I've seen it once or twice on here, but I don't recall who did it. It would basically make it an LJ as far as the size of the vehicle and the suspension set-up go.

Lots of welding and fab work, hardest part looked like mounting the upper spring perch.

I was looking at doing it for the crawling/flex part of it....
I'm not happy unless I am tearing into something and making it better....

Soon I hope. I want to get this thing lifted before the snow flies - I need new tires and I'm intent on only buying tires once - big ones.

That's exactly what I've been telling people. Think the packs will be off in the next two weeks?
