A long screwdriver to re-center the oil pump is your friend here. I have learned these lessons well in the past my friend, on two different Jeeps. I can reset the distributor/pump in my sleep now...lol
Glad to here it's fixed.
Now mine is knocking....but no visible signs of trouble.

Sorry for your loss, Jon.
Your close by me. Only like 15-20 miles. I could do the 15th, 22nd (Thursday's) or 25th (Sunday). I know you mentioned your brother has done them. Would he be willing to help??? Pretty please.
I talked to my brother and he said he can help with it. Any of the dates work for us.

Hahahaha so I'm driving down 97 head home and out of nowhere this really loud tapping noise starting coming from somewhere from under the jeep and I'm like WTF??? So I call Mike and im like, woah this thing in making a CRAZY noise! I pull off and pull into the Walmart parking lot and as I slow so does the noise. I pop the hood and rev the engine and don't hear it now. I crawl under by the TC and sure enough the hat I was wearing this morning that I had sat on the TC crossmember and forgot all about was wrapped around my driveshaft and shredded! LOL not gonna lie I was scared my engine was done for a sec there hahahahahaha

Thanks Everyone. It has been a long day. We were blessed to have him for over 12 years. A long time for a large dog. We are going to be looking to rescue a dog, hopefully a bull breed. Thanks again everyone.
