Waste to Energy - Trash Incinerator. We burn Harford County's trash, use the heat to create steam for APG. I'm one of the 6 Certified operators here.

ah, ok. you mentioned high heat and a bad smell...things my dad used to describe the metal plant he worked at, where he was involved in an industrial explosion that crippled him for life.

hence, my interest.

they were lazy

I would take a deep breath, step back and think this through. I have pulled a few motors in my day, and have never been able to get one out and installed in a day. Too many problems pop up that you don't anticipate and rushing is only going to lead to failure....

im going to have to go with him on this one
we can pull an engine in a day for sure
but installing, done right, might take a couple days...

i think the fastest i ever did was on my camaro - took 3 days, only cause i had done it a couple times before and already knew what needed to be done + i had a 4 day weekend, so it allowed me for a couple 8 hr days

ok...pulling the engine wont be so much to do, its already halfway disconnected. a few more wires/hoses, and the motor mounts, and its out. either way, an extra set of hands would be wonderful. any takers?

I have them in and out in 2 days, but that was with a fresh rebuild and a new wiring harness. I figure 3 days for replacing mine since the motor going in hasn't run for over a year, and I am also anticipating wiring issues...

For those that are curious, I needed front brake hoses changed, front pads/rotors, TC linkage adjusted *i have no 4lo atm*, full brake bleed and possibly a ujoint as it started making noise last night. I had planned on checking it while on the lift, but I'll just do it tomorrow.
