You were 100% correct. I did not even come close to getting stuck. I didn't do any rock crawling or anything, but lots of mud and small obstacles.

Thanks for reminding me....I need an oil pan skid
24' of 1 1/2 square tubing, welder and chopsaw and I'll have my sliders...don't want to mess up the pretty body work I did to my rockers last week

For me its 1. New springs in rear followed by 2" spacers in front.
2. Sliders
3. As many skid plates as I can get. Lol.

By the time I get done adding steel to mine, I'm gonna need another 2" of lift to maintain ride height, and an extra gas tank to keep er moving

Basing mine off of these drawings, dimensions ARE correct for an XJ

If I follow through with the plans I have for the XJ, I plan on cutting out the rockers and installing 2x6 tubing in it's place, capping and tapping them for onboard air reservoirs....

Gonna give you boys a little tip, Regularly check your lug nuts. I almost lost a wheel at 60mph tonight, Jeep started thumping and clacking and shaking bad. I thought I had blown a U-joint, turned out 4 of my 5 lug nuts on my drivers front tire weren't even finger tight.

I didn't even touch them this weekend, I did the rear brakes. Guess the front end got jealous. I was slightly paranoid about lug nuts before, I think I'm going to start sleeping with a tire iron under my pillow now.

Got me when we went out. Bohnett (I think) caught one of mine about to fall off, and I had a couple others that were finger-tight. That shouldn't happen the day after changing tires and torquing them all to 75, though...

Your looking at roughly $75 for tubing, another +/- $25 for misc steel, and $15 for a roll of .035 flux core wire.
I'm figuring roughly 4-6 hours of cutting, fitting and welding to get er done
