They do have aftermarket forged drop in pistons and rods now though for the 6.4, saw a place on a forum advertise 8k for just that installed. That's almost a built long block price. The hellcat is a 6.2L that's forged and lower compression right from factory. But yeah, you could probably build one cheaper and faster than the hellcat. Only thing is, hellcat was built to be beat on with warranty.....Lol.
