I know ryan, what time are you done tomorrow? I may be able to get you in the shop with my teacher for a few to check and see what he thinks it may be.

So, as I am sure some of you know, I have been fighting my exhaust for a while. And up until last month, my Check engine light s well(because of the exhaust). After spending close to a grand on a whole new dual exhaust system(new header, gaskets, piping, cat, muffler, etc.) My Check engine light came back on Sunday.

Yeah, so I had the boys at the shop here take a look, and if this wouldn't tick me off, I am not sure what would. MY EXHAUST IS LEAKING AGAIN!..... Yeah, oh joy. Turns out... the Thickness of the header is not exactly the same as the intake manifold. So even though the bolts are tight, it has seperated from the block, blown out the gasket and has caused a multiple cylinder missfire! Not to mention that my fuel mileage has dropped again!

So why to I share this? Well, a large part is because I am overly frustrated with my exhaust on this Jeep. Been fighting it since I bought it. But also because this is a fault of the product I purchased. And I felt I should warn those interested. The PaceSetter Split header for the 4.0 is slightly thinner then the intake manifold. Only by a slight fraction of an inch, but enough to cause a headache. It looks good, sounds amazing and has given a noticble increase in throttle response.... but if you are considering it for yourself, beware.... it is a good idea to buy a thicker gasket then what it comes with, and to make sure it seals to the block! Why Jeep decided to share those bolts between those two manifolds, I will never know!

Anyways, that is how my week started off.... how was everyone elses so far? LMAO
