Sell them as an added storage unit.... With a blank block of foam for "shipping purposes" that the customer can trim to fit their needs.....
I know it would be easy to rip off the hinges, but a lock would at least slow someone down, keep the honest people out, and keep children/passengers in the vehicle from getting at it. However, if you change some of your design, im sure you could beef it up and give it a metal frame that goes down the sides (inside of course) of the factory console.... Then bolts to the floor
None of this is an issue for me however, since I rarely unholster....I have a holster under my steering column in the truck for long trips in case it gets uncomfortable..... I've never used it lol

ill just sell it as a Freedom Console then. 2nd Amendment is the law of the land, and if we allow them to strip us of our most important right as Americans and give them back to us for a fee, we are just sheeple... give em an inch and theyll take a mile. the 2nd protects all the rest of our rights and our lives.

i feel like the cons outweigh the pros in 99% of any situations. I understand different strokes for different folks, but as someone who has more experience around guns than most, I feel threatened by people who carry (especially open carry). I take my security six on mountain excursions and what-not where I am days away from civilization and can (and have) encountered grizzly/black bears, weird mountain people, and other outdoorsman (who have been the unfriendliest encounters) who have their guns and have drawn them on me more than once (cooler heads prevail, but ive heard that CRACK of a whizzing rifle bullet in PA before). I've never had some "gangster" or stereotpyical threat people generalize with give me any trouble. People with a gun (and something to prove, apparently) have some weird mindset that rubs me the wrong way. If people want to conceal carry, thats great! But don't flash your piece or run your mouth about it...
I wish gun laws were more strict in the sense that to carry one you needed to attend accredited courses, pass an exam or two, and obtain and renew a license. That sounds really communist and all, but how many people cant remember to turn on their headlights in inclement weather/the dark...are those the kind of people we want making a decision with a gun (accurate to 10 yards)?
I guess to answer your question, I'd rather not need a gun 100000 times than need it once.

So you feel threatened by a person who open carries a gun.. Even tho Im sure that person is 99.9 % sane and is not going to go off killing ppl.. You would feel safer having them hide it from sight then out on their hip or slung over the shoulder.
I open carry everywhere I go up here in AK, lots of ppl do here. Ive never felt unsafe around a person that had a gun on his hip.. Its the ppl that hide them in their pants or some **** that make me feel uneasy. PPL that open carry are not the ones to worry about.

I think his implication is that the people who choose to open carry in his area tend to be the type who feel they have something to prove. Not that the firearm makes him uneasy, but that he's wary of those people's attitudes.
Having experienced many cultures, understand both sides of it.

I also understand both sides. I am just saying that in my personal experience (which is more than likely more than most, domestically) I have never had an issue with someone (potentially) carrying; white black rich poor ghetto snob) but I have had more than one unfriendly encounter with people carrying guns(open, hunting, concealed)...Hell, i got shot shot at by a hunter this year for hunting...Ive had the back of my blind pulled down (as a 14 year old kid) and 3 middle aged guys point their shotguns at my head...more than enough people show me their concealed carry in public, stuffed in their sweatpants pocket...shot at in the mountains in clearfield while offroading...i could go on for days, and there are others who could go the other way, who have been mugged at gunpoint... But at that point, im not even sure I'd draw a sidearm on someone who has the upper hand/accomplices on me.
I have nothing to fear, project confidence, stay alert to my surroundings, and treat EVERYBODY with the utmost respect. I know (all) of my friends who carry are afraid of "big scary ghetto cities" and I have grown apart from them for this reason...ya know, instead of contributing to remedy or alleviate any issues in this world, they just carry their gun to the harrisburg walmart because theyre afraid if nothing else. Hate breeds hate.

I both conceal and open carry. Primarily conceal. I don't flash my gun around or act like an idiot. I act like it's not even there. I agree that there is slim to no chance I'll ever need it.... But I like being prepared. I feel comfortable around just about anybody that is carrying, my only worry with open carry is that someone will try to take the weapon from the person carrying it, which is why my owb holster had a retention clip, and unless your familiar with that specific holster, you'll never remove it fast enough before you get an elbow thrown at your nose. I'm very much for the 2nd amendment.... But I agree that there are people who legally own guns that shouldn't. Example being my xgf, was in the loony bin when she was younger.... But since "she checked herself in", she was allowed to purchase guns...... Last month she killed herself (details unknown to me). I feel she, from what I knew about her while we were together, shouldn't be allowed to own a gun. However, im sure there are people who have been in the nut house that I would have no problem if they owned a gun, along with people with a felony charge, I'm sure there's a few that could be responsible enough to own a gun. The entire system is flawed, and there's no way to fix it to suit everybody. Bad people will always have access to guns.

I've backpacked almost every mountain range in North America and I carry for self def from animals...but its really the people who worry me. I even set up a security lanyard so that if i become unconscious or something, the gun cant go out of my holster. Aint no bear ever called me a ****ing ******

My grandpa was convicted of felonious assault when he was 17. Couldn't buy a gun when he was 66 because of it, and he'd never even had a speeding ticket since then
Bottom line.
We have the right and responsibility to protect ourselves & families from any & all threats.
How we do that is a individual choice.
That is one of the many beautiful things regarding living in the USA & PA.
