They are a fresh water fish from Africa, places like Lake Victoria. Most fresh water fish honestly are ugly. Browns, greys, earth tones. If you want pretty colored fish, most of the time you need to by expensive tropical fish. Which comes with the added weight of maintaining a salt tank. Which is expensive itself, and the fish are very sensitive to chemical changes. Meaning you can nuke you new $200 tropical fish overnight, by accident.

Cichlids bypass this, they are fresh water and easier to take car of. The babies start out having earth tone color but mature into brilliant bright colors. So you can have cake and eat it too. This is all I remember from what my brother in law told me.

Interesting. I know how complex saltwater aquariums can be, but I didn't make that connection in my head.

Cichlids are cool cause of their personalities. They're super aggressive and can only be kept with certain other fish, mostly other cichlids. They get some crazy colors too.

He is nice guy,, just made a bad decision (that's why they are not married anymore). If you need any help with your fish, let me know. I can put you in contact with him. He is very knowledgable about them and loves to help people out.

When we went on a family vacation to Disney World, Animal Kingdom has a pond with like hippos and stuff. The pond is stocked with tons of cichlids. There is a set of stairs you can climb down and look through a pane of glass into the pond. He was down there like 45 minutes filming the cichlids for his fish forums. LMAO

i may have found a solution for sticker printing:
http://www.stickeryou.com/

no minimums, they charge 9.99 per page and @ 4.23" x 3.66" we can fit 4 logo stickers on a page for 9.99. Calvins will also be 4 per page @ 4' tall. Not to bad!

new calvin
