They are a single wire sensor that screws into the oil filter mount on the block. They're only like $13 at the Autoparts store and a very valuable tool. What you described sounds just like a faulty sensor. If the sensor gets wet at all it's toast.

So driving home from dinner with the girlfriend my clutch peddal decided it was going to go to the floor and stay their. So i no clutched running stop signs the rest of the way home and plan to tear into her tomorrow to find out if im replacing the slave or master cylinder

Yea thats what me and my buddy think. Strange thing is my resivor is all but full shouldnt it have leaked out?

Well in my old yj everything was fine, I just placed the hydraulics and it was fixed. My dad has the yj now and it's having problems again. I think

Oil change, new u joint, and new diff fluid tomorrow. First time I'm cracking the rear since I dropped it in, hope it's ok in there.

Turns out it was the master, and now the peddle is hard as a rock and sensitive. We think the forks may have gotten bent some how. Also discovered my trans mount is shot so decieded next week going to do trans mount, clutch, rear main and find out whats going on with my clutch peddle
