PA cherokee club

i looked into it. you think its worth it? the personalized license plates would be cool if they had a Cherokee on em. i was never in a "club" before. i wonder if its got the regular B.S. of most organized things. i get enough of that on my Slo-pitch softball team.

Hey! I'm a Newbie here. I was browsing the web for PA XJ clubs and stumbled upon this thread. Noticed alot of you are from around my area, We're in Birdsboro, PA and wanted to say hi!
Husband and I are new to the XJ scene, we bought ours last winter, its a 1990 Laredo. We paid $500 for it on Craigslist. Steal. It has/had a few things wrong with it but overall its fair good.
We are wanting to get into off roading are a currently finding out all the things we need to do so.
Just wanted to make myself known and hopefully be able to some day soon set up a group to go off roading.

Hey and Thank you!
We bought the Jeep from a guy who has used it for a farm vehicle for years. We keep having little issues arrive but the one major issue we had that it would just die. Randomly. You let it sit and it would start up after 20 mins. Then it become known that it only did it when wet outside. So many people suggested the CSP. We eventually took it to specialty jeep guy and he suggested same thing. He replaced the part and it seemed fixed. Until all that rain and it died. We ripped the carpet up in drivers side floor to reveal a clump of wiring that had rotted through and snapped due to a rusted out hole in the flooring. Fixed the floor, spliced the wires and it all works fine now. We've had one sway bar go out and cause the 'death wobble', and so far a one rear brake line. We also have some bad sagging in the rear, but we don't wanna replace everything until we get a lift.
We are working on a budget but we really wanna get her off road ready cause we are itching to head out and give it a go.
Sorry for the long post!

If I could offer you a word of advice for modifying you Xj....... Do all or most of your power adders before a lift and tires. These motors take "tweaks" very well and are impressive when done right. If you want to feel all of that power, do it before lift and tires, otherwise power will be robbed. This is one of the things I wish I would have done differently on my rig. I'm not putting down 171rwhp and 194ft/tq but with these tires and lift it doesn't feel much like it.
