I heard they weren't terrible if you extend the mounts to beef it up?

Ok I got a stick welder and some plate steel beefing it up is definitely possible. I don't know one bumper from another honestly so it was in my price range and looked nice. Is the fact that it mounts up to stock mounts the big downside?

 

He meant ryans fab, I know he sells on eBay, his bumpers use the factory bolt holes, 3 on each side. Check out Nate's4x4,he sells tie in plates for 30 bucks I think, weld them onto the bumper mounts and you will have it pretty stout

I can also cut you out a set similar to JCR's. and if you need a new spacer for the steering box, I've got a couple of those as well made from steel.

 

Thanks guys. Man any help you can give I'd more than compensate you for your time. The set your talking about would be something to beef up the mount for the bumper? And then I'd need to put a spacer in for the steering box? I apologize I'm a little confused. I'm sick as a dog and trying to take care of my little guy.

 

Damn autocorrect lol. Ryan's Fab is what I meant. The stock mounting points are not nearly strong enough for a decent recovery. The steering box spacer that Scott mentioned just a stronger replacement for the stock spacer.

 

Yeah i got a drivers side its kinda beat and rolled in from wheelin i doubt ud want it il sell it to u for like 10$

 

I went and looked at the fender again and i cut the bottom of it and its from my 93 so it totally wont work lol

 

Got a set of 1993 limited power leathers for sale if any one is interested the driver side is shot but good for parts both motors work great dont wanna send to the junk yard so let me know

 

The spacer is just for the box. You either need full stiffeners for the frame or extended brackets.



This is a new spacer for the Durango box with extended bushings and only 16ga plate since I already had to plate the frame from the rollover.

 

Gotcha ok yea I'm going to need that then. Right in the description it says bolts right on to stock mounts..I should have known better lol. Which is the better way to go as far as full stiffners or extended brackets? I don't mind spending a little more to make it right it just comes down to what I can actually do myself. If you have extra parts for what I need to make bumper happen let me know and I'd be very grateful for them just need to know what kinda price we are looking at.
