Ethanol sucks yes, but 1.the are gas stations that sell ethanol free fuel, I would try that before you blame the fuel, if it was the fuel EVERYONE would have the same problem. And as far as reprogramming the ecm, 1. It's illegal to tamper with the emissions control related parameters 2. There isn't enough people making high performance 4.0 jeeps to have a market/interest for someone to figure it all out 3. The ones that do need it go with a stand alone ecm 4. It's illegal to modify the factory calibration due to the fact they the coding is trade marked or something. And most of all, I do emissions inspections every day, so I know my **** with this lol

An M3 is a completely different animal, just like the volkswagens that come into the shop that all the emissions monitors are permanently set to pass, where do they get them tuned? Out of the country, most come from Canada that I have seen, they are sold as 'offroad use only'. I'm not trying to flame you, I gave you a short answer, you didn't like it, so I elaborated after you denied my answer and I tried to offer an alternative solution. No chest beating cave man **** intended. If you want that, go to pirate and ask the same question.

last post about this topic, you say your jeep pops a p030x code(s), but seeing as its not bad enough for you to want to fix it and you would rather get the misfire monitor tuned out of the ecm, wouldnt it be cheaper and easier to just deal with the check engine light for everyday, and then before you take it in for inspection, go to the ethenol free station, fill up, clear your check light, get the monitors set, then while still on the ethenolless gas, take it in for inspection?
