Everyone says that they have poor quality stuff, apparently they used to have issues with welds breaking. That was a while back though (5+ years) and their stuff seems nice now.

Yeah, but it uses the factory sized ends which are tiny and weak.

Anyone ever rebuild a power steering pump? My original pump has 208k and the bearings are sounding like crap.
The bearing and seal rebuild kit is $25.99 compared to the price of a reman pump its much cheaper. And most important I'd rather rebuild a Mopar pump then buy a cheap Chinese reman

Hey guys its Nate. P from SE pa.. new to the forum here. Have a 98 xj with a 3 in lift and 31's. Will post pics when I get the chance. Just wanted to stop in and say hello. One quick question... has anyone here in PA had any trouble with passing inspection with the addition of a high flow catalytic converter? Or am I going crazy... I want to add one because my stock cat rattles so bad ad I already have a flowmaster 44 muffler onf an 2.5" piping from there back and isn't as loud as I want it. So I was going to get a high flow in hopes of giving it some more grumble.

Thanks,

Nate

Hey Nate. Welcome to the forum.
As far as the cat goes, I just got mine inspected with a high flow cat I got from performance curve along with the 44 too. I guess it really depends on the shop.

Some vehicles are very sensitive to the efficiency of the cat, and it will work for a year of two but will eventually kick the check engine light on. Jeeps however are pretty lenient about it so you should be fine. They can't legally fail you because you have a high fllow cat. As long as the check engine light is off it will pass. For those that don't remember(and new guys)I'm an inspection mechanic.

Thankyou for the info guys. Hey ehracing67 you said you have the 44 with a high flow... how does that sound?? Did it create a nice grumble to it. I just have the 44 on right now and it gave me some grumble but im not where i want it to be just quite yet... figuring a high flow should help me out a good bit... you got a video of yours?
