For 3 years, I has been battling the heat in hood. I bought louvers and A/C compressor gave up. I decided removed A/C system include coil. Now I never over heat even I haven't turn electric fan on.

I still run around 195 degrees average just driving around town. In traffic it will creep up to 210 degrees but I just flip my e fan switch and it cools back down to 195 quick. If I'm really sitting in bad traffic ill run e fan nonstop. I've been lucky so far running cool only had issue when I wired my efan up reversed to the switch and it would get hotter.

Thanks, I'm still trying to figure out what i want to do to cover the rear tires though. Got pulled over for them sticking out while i was home on leave. Drove it up from Florida where no one cares and was barely home long enough to attempt to cover the rears. He didn't care, didn't want to hear my excuse, let me off with a warning and told me i had 5 days to comply with it however i was only home for 3 more days so i kinda ignored it. I'll figure it out next time I get a chance to come back up to PA.
