I have a 99 and I came across the thread saying to use a 98 (may be 97) or older starter all you need to do is change the solenoid wire to a ring terminal and keep 100 bux in your pocket

I find it kinda crazy that one terminal would add $100 to the price of a starter... makes me think there is some other difference. Seems like its going to fit but just doesn't make sense

I turn the key hear the relay click and Nada... do it a few times along with jiggling the key (dunno why I do it lol) and she fires up after a few tries but I hear the relay every time... so I'm leaning award the starter being bad but haven't taken the time to check anything
