Good deal, I'll be installing my lift this weekend, and I'll probably wait until I've got disconnects and extended brake lines to go (I'm sure the fender trimming can wait), but that should be soon. Maybe in a month or so. Thanks for the response man.

Anybody need anything from a scrap xj? I know a 99 just got totaled in middletown...it will be at the scrap yard this afternoon. Has hp d30, c8.25, doors are no good i believe, hatch had busted glass, front end hit a pole, motor looked ok other than rad/ e fan. Lemme know, i got a hp d30 and they pulled it and loaded it for me for 100$ a year ago.

Will do man, what's it like up there? I've never really done any true wheeling. I will be running 33x12.5's, do you think I'll be okay with my stock gears?

Yeah you will be fine on stock gears and 33's, mpg is gonna suck. I ran 33's and 3.55 gears for awhile. I'm running 35's and 4.56 gears now. There's alot of rocks and hill climbs and some mud holes which can be deep. There's easy rock gardens and so on. I usually run blue trails up to red trails depending on who's with me. Look up on YouTube for videos of rausch creek

Maybe I should consider trimming the fenders before I go up, and maybe a cowl snorkel. I've looked at rausch on YouTube, probably should do some more research though.

You won't need the snorkel unless you like mud

Trimming fenders and bump stops will be a good thing to do
