You can drill out the brackets where the studs broke of and use regular nuts/bolts to reinstall temporarily.

Can anybody give me ideas on what lockers to get? I don't know a whole lot about them and I need to regear at the same time. Should I just get limited slip? Detroit or Aussie? Not sure where to start researching and I would like some opinions.

I'm gonna take the jeep to the shop and do lockers, gears, and sye all at once. I'm ditching my ideas for for a front d44 and I'm gonna sell my rear d44 if anybody is interested.

nope, just undo drive shaft then back out the 32mm pinion nut and washer and pull the seal out with a flat head screw driver then reverse the process

I'm just going to keep the 8.25 that's on there already. I just can't afford doing what I truly want to the d44, and I won't even use it to its fullest potential.

What kind of driving will you be doing, and what is your budget?

Unless you plan to do some pretty serious wheeling, lockers are a waste of money. But, if you plan to run some decent trails and do some rock crawling, then lockers are the best thing you can do to your Jeep.

Is it also your daily driver? Do you do a lot of driving in the snow? Are you going with just one locker, or two?

Edit: nvm, I forgot which brackets I was originally talking about

So, I'm scoring a set of 31x10.50 BFG MT's tomorrow from Craigslist. I'm going to mount them on wheels with 3.75" of backspacing--I should be good after that.

My budget is fair, I'm just not trying to go over the top anymore. I can buy gears front and rear with master overhaul kits from rustys for $450, and I can buy true lock lockers front and rear from rustys for about $600. I'll throw some riddler diff covers on them too.

The jeep isn't my daily driver but it will be shortly after I get this work done. I want to do more serious wheeling that's why I want these lockers. I plan on driving my jeep in the snow as much as possible. I love the snow.

Don't use rusties.... can gets better parts cheaper else where. If your doing a lot of snow/Street stay away from lunchbox lockers. Get a cable/air/electric locker. Whatever you can afford. I have the Yukon zip locker (air) in my front, love it. Easy to install, works flawlessly, cheaper then arb.

Oh, and don't run Chinese no name junk haha. Get GOOD gears, GOOD bearings (timkin), and a good locker and you won't regret it.
