I'm a big fan of the ORF winch bumper for the XJ, but for the price... ehhh...
I was hoping someone has a bender and I could make something custom similar to this without a direct ripoff of their design.
I bought some bumper mounts and can build a boxed in plate for the winch to sit in, but would need an assist with the tube bending to form the outsides and hoop.

Here's a ballpark of what I want it to look like on the Jeep: (this jeep is for sale in the FS section btw, I just borrowed his pic and uploaded it to my photobucket for reference)
You might want to check out www.landlfabrication.com

He's not local but he does great work with reasonable prices. He's also pretty darn good with tube bumpers. Attached is a picture of the bumper I had him make me.

I've got a few ideas I'm going to dabble with before I order from anyone. I think I got something in mind for a hidden winch and decent looking bumper that won't kill the approach angle.

I wish i could have gone with you guys! maybe next time! Hopefully by then i'll either have my new tires, or new axle (hopefully both).

Also, is there any one around York that could hook me up with a d44? I've got one that's possibly lined up but if that falls through i want to build up and install my own

Hopefully my jeep will be ready to wheel by then. I'm down for it if all goes as planned.

What do you have to do to get it ready?

SYE, trim and bumpstops. Not that it's hard or expensive just need the time and to get heat in my garage. Working 63 hrs week doesn't give much time to work on it.
