I might go to 35's in the future, but for now I have plenty of tread on the 33's. If I do go to 35's then 4.56's wouldn't be too bad right? I'd be better off than I am now with 33's and 3.55's theoretically.

I'm just afraid if I do 4.88's now that it would be overkill while I still have plenty of life on the 33's.

I really just want good gears all around, on and off road. I sold my other car so the jeep is the daily driver again.

It is not for the straps that hold the driveshaft on the axle. It's for the output yoke on the transfer case.

limits your selection to just a few tires

but it's a matter of personal preference - i personally like the extra width of a 12.5

I've got a set of 10.5s for the snow and inspection. Other than that, they look odd compared to a 12.5.

I think I've decided on Cooper STT's 33x12.50x15 for my rig. Now it's just a matter of finding the best price.
