But seriously, when the weather gets warmer i think we should make a legitimate attempt at making a group run to your neck of the woods.. make it a weekend thing possibly? who knows.. At any rate, we'll discuss making serious plans come spring time

Am I to assume that I am the only one who wants to wheel their DD WJ? haha, I'd like to join Yinz wheeling some time. I'll be in Williamsport for about 3more years for school.

Williamsport is only about 45 minutes from where I am located. That's interesting

What do you mean by, you just realized who you were talking to? Lol. Think I was some big burly guy up in here? But other than that, I'm down for these legitimate plans in our near future!

Oh do I have faith in my WJ, lol. I love my jeep. haha, got a lift pending, only small for now, and then I need 3.73s and an LSD.

Yeah, I'm at Penn College in Williamsport, but it seems that with all the large diesels and pickups no one knows where to wheel, or for that matter, manners toward Jeepers either.

I'm confused. Who am I talking to? And York would be about 1 hour 50 mins. from Coal Township! I'm on the mobile app by the way..

Well I'm figuring that since I only want to run 31s (maybe 32s) and the fact that my WJ kicks down (downshifts) so frequently on the highway, 3.73s would be a better bet for when I need power and cruising would be easier.

Plus the LSD would help since we live in snow country.

Fair enough. I've never heard of anyone swapping in 3.73's lol. 4.10's would be ideal from 31's or 32's but if you have highway driving as a priority than 3.73's may be a better choice.

Any particular reason you want an LSD and not just a lunchbox locker? Because of snow and noise I'm assuming?

Well, My WJ came stock with 3.55s, So there is my problem with the downshifting, and I can get a Dana 44 with VariLok from the local JY at school. Then to find another WJ with 3.73s in the Dana30 for a full 3.73 swap without swapping gears.

Since it will be 90% highway and I drive 3hrs to school, I think the LSD would be a bit easier til I can afford to buy my neighbor's 90XJ, then that will get the locker and everything else to go with it.

Reasonable. For a drive that long on the highway I'd go with higher gears aswell. I don't drive long distances on the highway so highway gears aren't a big deal to me. A locker wont affect your highway driving though, just city driving. Swapping in an axle already compete with an LSD and gears is easy though so i don't blame you.

well, as i said the XJ will be the true wheeler, the WJ will be the weekend play toy and the DD. I just figured that getting a Dana44 with the LSD would be easier than getting 3.73s and installing them in my 35 and looking for a locker for it too.

Definitely. I don't blame you there. Gears are low on my build list for the exact reason of getting them installed. I don't know how to set gears. I did a little bit of research on it but didn't understand much of what I was reading besides everybody saying to have a shop do it.
