4 wheeling/camping in the strip mines way out in the boonies. Were sitting around camp and heard that classic movie bullet noise/crack followed by 3 more. Way to scary.

Another thought.... Here's a good view of the Clayton coil conversion.

Pulled it back over, checked over the engine and fluids, then drove it home. Only big thing is the windshield, and I broke that.

That sucks. I'm originally from up there, it happened to me once when I was real young out riding thru a strip mine. Id like to think they wasn't shooting at us but who knows....didn't stick around to find out....lol. What part of Clearfield co were you in? I grew up in Osceola Mills. It was nice, could leave from my parents and ride just about anywhere. Used to hit up some big hill climbs, but heard some of them were flattened out over the years.

there are some pretty amazing open places for riding up there for sure, im not sure if it was someone who "owned" it or what trying to scare us off but we also did not stick around to find out...used to have a cabin near Kylertown/phillipsburg area, im not sure exactly where we were when the shooting happened, but somewhere in that general facility.

Philipsburg is about 10min from Osceola. You still go up that way?
