sit in front of the jeep with the engine running and have a helper saw the steering back and forth (small quick movements). Look for play or movement in the trackbar ends or bracket - there should be no side to side movement.

also check the tierod ends for lateral (not rotational) movement

No way, my family has a house over near Blakeslee, I grew up spending summers there and get up there every few weekends when I'm not working or something these days. Awesome, always good to meet other Samhain fans! You coming down for the show at the end of October?

Also, I saw the Jeep Fiend Club thing in your profile, what is that, and how do I become part of it?

Thank you! I'll try this and report back.

You don't want to be apart of it....it's a terrible terrible disease. Haha.

And to add to dukies comment, I find it easier with the engine off because 1.it's quieter so you can hear pops better, and 2. It's harder to move the tires, so all you get is the play, not tire turning. Just my .02

Make sure there isn't fluid or wetness around your steering stabilizer (the shock lookin thing on your steering up front) lol.
If that's bad it will cause the death wobble also

not really. Worn steering components causes DW. Steering dampers just cover it up.

The steering stabilizer is not there to prevent death wobble. It's too make the steering smoother. However it can be used as a band aid for death wobble.but at the end of the day, you still have something messed up causing it in the first place. Hell, i don't even run one, i don't think Nieeal does either, or Liam, or Jeff.

It's got a bunch of small issues, but it runs strong and I love it already. I wanna get it fixed up before I start dumping money into upgrades. First thing on the list is fixing the death wobble, I've done some research but does anyone know someone or somewhere in SEPA that could help me out?

Thanks!
Where at in Philly that's where I'm from
