I kept breaking their race series stabilizers. The heim joint didn't sit far enough off tie rod/drag link and it kept popping the joint. They replaced it twice. Maybe next time they will include installation instructions, or at least toss in some extra washers for people with xj's.

I hearing ( mostly from you guys on here ) that rustys stuff just isn't up to par. I've been out of the wheeling game for a longgg time. I just remember their stuff being pretty comparable price wise to everyone else.

I have a lot of rustys stuff on my jeep. I haven't had too many problems. The rubber spring bushings in the springs were shot in about a year. I bought rustys polys to replace them.

They didn't ship me a sway bar drop with the lift kit, but I didn't care cause I bought jks discos anyway.

You gotta call them to get anywhere with their customer service, but they are real friendly though.

Yeah the good customer service was definitely a plus. I've had my lift (miscellaneous brands) on my jeep for over ten years. A few parts on it were rustys, one of them being the track bar I snapped in half during our least wheeling trip.
After explaining the situation to them they worked a deal with me...if I sent them my old broken bar, they would replace it with their new upgraded 32mm track bar for $30. But that was a few months ago. I'm sure if I called them they will still stand by that deal. We will see lol.

It sounds like it is starting to seize at the pivot point on the underside of the hood. Just pull really really hard on the release lever. It should pop.
I've had this problem for a while on my 98.

Or take your headlights out and pop it from there if you can't get it open
