UPDATE: More snow. I'll be back to the Jeep tomorrow or Thursday once the snow melts a bit and I can get my Mustang out of the driveway without my chin spoiler acting like a plow.

Hey guys, sorry I've been neglecting this.
I had salmonella poisoning and I was down and out for the count for about 7 days. It was probably the sickest I think I have ever been; it was right up there with pneumonia. Then I had to work a ton to make up for what I missed, then the blizzard of 2011 hit, but I got back to the Jeep two nights ago and the last two coats of paint have been added. Last night I also added a single clear coat. I'll go back and add one more clear coat, and then I'm going to wetsand with 1000 and 2000, then we'll polish it and it'll be done.
800 Grit Westand After
I removed about 80% of the orange peel with this wetsand
5th and 6th Coats of Paint
Chrome on the badges taped off and then sprayed with the same paint.
Tonight I'll begin the last two wetsands, take tomorrow off because it's my birthday, and then hopefully be done by Wednesday or Thursday.

Thanks guys! It's been a big project thats for sure. I've got about 200 hours into the paint and body work...and I'm still working. All in all, I had to fill four rust holes with filler, weld in a new piece of metal due to rust, fiberglass resin a piece of the hatch, sand the body down to bare metal in nearly every spot to eliminate the pitting that was occurring in a lot of places, and then do this labor intense paint job. It has all been worth it though hahahaha. The hood, front 1/4 panels, fenders, and front driver and passenger door are all wetsanded and polished. I'd estimate about 13 hours of work are left. I pulled her out of the garage I was using because I had definitely overstayed my welcome. hahaha. But the weather has been fantastic, and if it turns bad, I've got a cover I can slip over the top.
I will say...she's not perfect...there are a few spots up close where you can see slight blemishes and imperfections, but for $100...it came out pretty damn good. I didn't pull out the two big dents in the side because I just didn't have time nor the budget after the other body work. However, she's really got a mirror finish for the most part and from 15 feet away looks like a brand new car. These are just iPhone pictures, I'll see if I can't find our digital camera and take some higher quality pictures later on.
To anyone thinking of trying this...only do it if you have lots of time and patience. Don't cut any corners in your prep, your 4732479823749872 wetsands, or your polishing. Rustoleum (Oil Enamel) is definitely harder to buff out than standard acrylic enamel automotive paint. I plan on doing a write-up for Rustoleum paint jobs for anyone considering it.
And to Zack, yeah, she feels like glass finally. I have to tell you...the roof and the hood were so bad that the metal was pitting to the point where I actually cut myself 4 different times while running my hand along the old surface. Not anymore .
Anyways, like I said, she's almost done. I should be finished soon. Here are some photos from earlier.

Thanks guys! I'm making a HUGE transition of jobs right now so give me a couple days and I can post a write up on the paint job, tools, and time needed to do it. Problem is that I'm in training for my new job while still working the position I'm leaving, so I'm exhausted right now. hahaha
