Default cherokeeforum.com Sticker

I have taken a little break from upgrading the jeep but today after a car wash I got inspired again and finally put on the cherokeeforum sticker.

I have been saving up for some 31" 10.5 R15 Tires. I jumped the gun a bit and had the oldschool rims installed with my existing tires. I am definitely liking the look of these wheels they guy I bought them from painted the inside of the spokes black. I found some used 31" Toyo A/T tires at a shop near me and I am seriously thinking about getting them.

Two of the tires have some wear but I think I could easily get at least 25,000 more miles out of them. What to do, what to do?

Unwrapping my new Grille Guard. In a effort to make the jeep more bad *** looking I opted for this steel tube monstrosity made by N-Dure. It was pretty cheap (less than $400) so I figured I would try to get a little more aggressive at the front. I am aware that this is not the strongest guard and I am also aware that I shouldn't use it for recovery of any kind. Maybe I will get to installing it this weekend.

Talking 31" BF Goodrich All Terrain KO

Got some new shoes today! After searching for 4 used tires and coming up empty handed I decided to bite the bullet and go with a new set. 31" 10.5 R15 BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A KO's. These should last me a while. I love the tread. I think it gives me the "Truck" look I was shooting for. The 2" suspension lift give me enough clearence for my daily driving and a little trail riding clearence as well.

I need to catch up on some of the audio stuff I installed a while back. I kept forgetting to take pictures when I was installing them. The Boss 1500 Amp is fit under the Driver side back seat it is thin enough to not touch the seat cushion. Perfect fit! I had a little trouble getting the battery wires through the firewall and under the carpet but I finally got it to go through and hooked it up to the "sub out" on the new head unit. I upgraded the stereo to a JVC KD-X50BT. The unit has bluetooth audio and hands free calling. The jeep is a bit loud to take calls in when I'm on the highway but in park it works great! The sound is fantastic with the upgraded door and hatch 5 1/4" 2 way speakers and the 8" Sub.

The stereo head unit had a color changer so I was able to get it to light up and match the off white hue of the other lights in the dash. It looks pretty darn close. keeping it oldschool.

This is where I am at. It's been almost a year since I started. I got a little distracted and started updating the exterior but the engine has been running great so I figured I could divert to a few external accessories. She is now riding with a 2" lift 31" tires, classic rims, and a grill guard. The sun out here has been beating on the paint job. I have been trying to keep her waxed but it isn't helping.

Default Bushman Cargo Rack

I Picked up a Kargo Master Bushman Cargo Rack. This one is 52" X 60". Since my truck doesn't have rack rails I needed to order the seperate gutter mounts. This rack is solid! 1" tubing with a black powdercoat. I like that it doesn't look like a shopping cart. This is the newer version with the slanted front and back. It comes in parts (like IKEA) and took me only an hour to bolt together.Name: null_zps0b1ee770.jpg

Where did you find the cassette-->mp3 replacement? I'm trying to find accessories for my new acquisition...dash cover, floor mats, etc. too. Thanks so much.

Rear Tire Carrier Bolted onto the existing Trailer Hitch Bar. Folds down for access to Hatch. This is a custom job by the guys at DetoursUSA. It is called the Knuckle Bone.

Just search Amazon or Ebay for "JVC KD-X50BT"
