1993 Jeep Cherokee Restoration

Newbie
I was extremely lucky and found a NOS, correct model AMC/Jeep AM/FM radio for my 86 XJ. I paid less than $150. Put it in recently and replaced the modern stereo the PO had stuck in there. The opening had been routed out very slightly to make room for the aftermarket stereo, but you can barely tell.

LiftGate shock replacement
Finally after over 2 years I finally got around to replacing the liftgate shocks. Got to the point where I was having to use my head to hold it up and just bought a set. So nice.

Replaced the Oil Pressure Sensor
So today I had to replace the oil pressure sensor because it started just pouring out oil from the connector. Been meaning to change it due to the inaccurate pressure it was showing on the gauge but today it finally had to be done.

Aftermarket Headlight Upgrade
So my driver side headlight went out, likely due to the crack it's had since I got it, and I decided to finally commit to buying the H4 upgrade with the glass housings and bulbs you can put in. So now I won't have to replace the entire assembly when a bulb goes out! Been wanting to do this since I upgraded the wiring harness. Bright too! Very happy with the results.

I always tell people that I am fine with the Wagner BriteLite "stock" headlights and the harness upgrade.
Did the harness up grade more for taking the stress off the headlight switch then the brighter lights.
And I know that newer cars have brighter lights but I swear that people are driving around with the high beams on all the time.
LOL.
That being said I have been driving more at night and think I need to upgrade too.
Cause it snows where I live thinking the H4 is the only way to go.
Since you seem to be happy with your choices could you post links to the bulbs and housings?

relatively cheap upgrade in my opinion. Didn't have to modify the headlight bucket in any way as well thankfully.

New Steering Stabilizer
Decided to go ahead and replace my original steering stabilizer. Thing had almost no resistance to it when I compressed it so it was definitely on it's way out if age wasn't a factor. Nice and easy little replacement.

Replaced the ignition switch
Job was pretty straight forward and easy to do. Turning the key kept getting more and more difficult to do and recently I had to jiggle the key to get my accessories(radio, A/C, etc) to get power. Switch was original so Im surprised it lasted this long!

Defeated the floppy steering column
So ever since I got this Cherokee 3 years ago, there has always been some play in the column. Been the worst for about a year and a half now. Watched the videos but it seemed too daunting of a job for me to do so I left it alone until today. Not that bad of a job if you have some patience and a lot of time. Feels so odd driving without so much as an inch of movement in the column. Also decided to replace the ignition cylinder and the turn signal switch as well. Very good day.

Where did you get the new column? I need to replace the steering wheel, turn indicator and key/ignition modules ( I have these). I don't know that I have slop in my column, it feels normal as compared to my other vehicles.

It's the same column. Just went in and tightened the 4 torx bolts that like to come loose over time. I need to replace my wheel as well. Thing is worn out lol
