Hit 200,000 Miles today.
As the header says. Glad to see it come this far! Never thought I would see it roll over with my own eyes.

Aftermarket Coolant Gauge
Finally after two and a half years, I have a coolant gauge after snapping the old sensor in the head of my engine. Should have done this way earlier but like a lot of things, it got pushed back. This is a mechanical dorman gauge. Liked to look and thought it fit the interior. Need to find a backplate to put it in so it isn't just hanging out right there. Even lights up when you pull the headlight switch with the rest of the interior lights.

Replaced Original Motor Mounts
Got around to doing my motor mounts after ordering the new ones probably close to a year ago. Driver side definitely needed to be replaced. Passenger side was sort of alright but was sagging a bit. I am not use to not feeling the entire Jeep vibrating while at idle haha. It is a completely different experience. Hopefully these last about as long as the old ones did( 204,000 miles ).

Blower Motor Replaced
Blower motor kept melting fuses so I finally got around to replacing it. Do not think it is original judging by the made in china motor itself but it had the original blade on it so it was probably swapped over in the past. New one blows a lot more and is quieter as well.

Replaced the Track Bar
Jeep always had a certain type of clunking noise when I would turn or hit bumps but recently it started getting louder and worse. Figured out that it was the old Track Bar making a racket and replaced it yesterday.

I read your whole thread, nice to find another Houston (I know you’re a little up north) Jeep build! I’ve had my ‘94 XJ for almost 9 years and now that I'm married and a little more settled im trying to get our HS/First vehicle back on these Houston roads!
Added photos to share the journey:
January 2015: Second day with the title. $300 roller from a neighbor. $2500 got it running.
2015-2017: HS Senior year my wife (then girlfriend) and I I drove it daily until it gave me too many headaches so I went and got a car from a dealership to start 2017. Then in 2019 I put about $500 in it and get it running again but never drove it like it deserved.
After: About a month ago when it got towed to my driveway, not running but ready to be saved and put back in use. (Sat under a tree on the side of my moms house and the back window got smashed during a storm about a year ago. It’s now tapped and covered.)

JeepCables "Big 7" upgrade
Was gifted a set of JeepCables from a friend and man what a difference it makes. All the lights are much brighter, the idle is way smoother, even the speakers are louder and more clear than before. Definitely a must have. And of course them being new cables that are not 30 years old and slowly rotting. Also had the battery replaced since the last one was starting to die. Can also say goodbye to that extension cord that was spliced into the green starter wire(I ended up having to cut the connector and running my own wire for this because JeepCables does not have a wire for it).

Previous Owner Shenanigans
So ever since I bought this Cherokee, there has always been a harness just hanging under the driver side footwell. Finally got around to looking at it today and it is the harness to an aftermarket alarm system. Pulled it out and as expected the car wouldn't start. Found a yellow wire that they had cut in half and hooked to a relay. took that out and connected the wire together and now it cranks just fine. Harness for this thing is huge. Just glad they didn't butcher anymore wiring.

New Headliner
Got around to replacing the headliner. This thing was stained from rain leaking through the rust holes in the roof over the years and began sagging badly. So glad to have it redone. Had some issue with pulling all the old stuff off so it isn't perfect but it'll do

Modified my stock radio for bluetooth
A fun little thing I always wanted to do was mod in Bluetooth to my stock radio. Always used one of those FM transmitters but where I live, there is always some background noise and god forbid someone driving next to you has one. I recently found a video online of a guy putting Bluetooth in his and actually sells the main board on his website. Had to buy the secondary board separately off Amazon because it was cheaper than if it came assembled. His radio was a little different than mine being it has a cassette deck but I was able to achieve success by soldering the four channel wires to their respective left/right pins on the volume control board. Since I won't have my cassette deck in here, I wired the dobe button next to the clock button to act as a toggle on/off switch. When I got it working it was still picking up audio from AM/FM stations while playing music so I pulled the AM tuner board so it'll just be dead silence on AM.(Not like I used it anyways). It's a bit expensive but overall a cool and fun little project.

Drained Differentials
After four years off ownership and over 60,000 miles driven, I have finally gotten around to replacing the differential fluid. Last owners must've *just* replaced it before I bought it as the fluid itself looked really good.

Not just the fluid... For 200,000 miles the ring and pinion, even the spider gears look to be in great shape.. I'd be happy with that when I opened it up........
