Default Carpet removal and rust

Pulled the carpet for cleaning and discovered the rust hole i originally thought was small is actually 5 times the size. Rust ate up the passenger rear floorpan. Fun times.

Now would be a good time to clean out and treat the inside of that frame rail.

Changed the passenger side leafspring because the car was leaning to the right. Lucky me went to tighten the shock back and the bottom bolt snapped.

Friend has a parts jeep and is letting me take anything I want.
So far what I've gotten is

+ wiper motor
+ wiper cowl
+ IAC sensor
+ tow hitch
+wiper arms
+fan shroud
+airbox filter
+pass. Door armrest screw

Looking to find more. It is a 97 model so im pretty limited on what I can grab. May go for as many sensors as I can reach.

You may want things like the center console for cup holders, but it'd have to be the same color and I personally like the pre 96 interior better. Whenever my school scraps a car I go out and cut out as much wiring as I can. I don't have to buy wire and some connectors
Also I've heard putting the rear wiper arm from a 97+ is an upgrade although I'm not sure what the difference is.

he actually asked me if i wanted the center console and i told him "hell no, i just spent $10 on quadratic cupholders". It actually fits very well and looks factory to my surprise. Though my 44 oz fountain drinks don't fit very well.

Are those the ones that go above the parking brake? I bought one somewhere but I took it out after realized it was designed for cans of soda.

Default Changed the thermostat

Changed the thermostat on the jeep today. Alao might have to do another coolant flush. Looks like a lot of rust gunk inside. Coated the inside of the tubes and everything.

Default Bypassed heater core & first 1,000 miles.

Today i have driven my first 1,000 miles in this jeep. And i bypassed the heater core so now it shouldn't leak onto the floorpan anymore and cause rust

Default The big move

The biggest test to know if she was reliable would be the 2 hour drive from Navasota tx to Baytown tx. Made it without any problem whatsoever. She still has a lot of work ahead of her but atleast for the time being i know i have a reliable vehicle
