Default Mpg

Did the math and i roughly get around 16.8 miles per gallon. Not as bad as i thought it was. In other news I tried to enter the highway today only for it to bog down. So it looks like it's either my FPR or Fuel Pump.(probably pump since i went cheap with an Airtex)

Rent a gauge from the auto parts store and check pressure at the rail. It is better to diagnose than just throw parts at it. (It gets expensive)

Ok, random question, have you cleaned the grounds lately? I wonder, being that the fuel pump seems to work fine here and there, if there may be a bad ground or bad connection somewhere that acts up intermittently.

Also, I know it sounds random and odd, but have you checked your fuel filter lately?

i haven't since i replaced it a few months back. It has a long crank and rpms fluctuate for a few seconds and then it drives normally.

Default Fuel Pressure

So somehow I fixed my pressure problem. I decided to replace the new fuel pressure regulator with the old one. Ran like crap. So i replaced it with the new one, and now my car holds fuel pressure again. Ill take it. No more long cranks.

Default Moisture under cargo carpet

I lifted the carpet from the back of the XJ and found bubbles under the paint. Usually that means rust but these bubbles move when you press on them. So my guess is water got trapped underneath. Overall there is no serious rust on the cargo pan but i haven't gotten off Scott free just yet. There is a small hole underneath the rear bench seat. A small hole but a hole at that. As for the water. Ill just let it air out.

Looks pretty solid but still carefully inspect any and all corners and seam sealer, that's where the nasty happens.
