2000 jeep xj sport. Frame work
just posting this to see if im going in the right path on fixin this problem, frame is ripped in half. im gonna post start to finish....

Many will say what your doing is stupid and not worth it, but your learning and fixing something it will give you more ownership in it. I do say It might be a good time to look into plating the whole subframe. Get something from HD or someone else. Plate all the way from the rear bumper to the front bumper.

You know after studying the picture it looks like it's been hit and repaired at one point before.
Maybe somebody pulled it out on a frame machine and used a torch to soften the metal during the repair and did not do a very good job sealing it from rusting.
Thats a body shop hack job my friend.

i think so also, that could be the reason the trailer hitch ripped out and thats why im at the point.. hope all goes well, cuz im itchin to hit the trails and some mud
