Finally got my spare tire on. I have to figure out where to more the plate to but for tonight Im just going to leave it alone. Tomorrow after work I will get that thing moved. I know your not supposed to weld 1/4" with a 90 amp harbor freight special but if you turn the wire speed down and just take your time you can still get penetration. I also fixed the latch on the carrier so that it actually stays closed.

Here are the pictures from tonight.

A/C to OBA compressor.

Valve cover breather to inline oil mister with ATF in it to intake line for the compressor. (more pictures coming soon on that)

Here is a picture of the latch I made to hold the handle shut.

With the tire carrier shut and in place. Wire holds it so it can't open up on its own while going down the road.

Tire mount.

Decent penetration. It should hold til I can build a better one.

In place without the tire.

Tire on. I need to get a bigger spare.

From the back

Side view.

Other side.

And i sprayed the bumper black just so it doesn't rust until I can actually paint.

You just gave me an idea!

The compressor intake needs to be oiled and filtered... If the intake to the compressor came from the valve cover it would meet all those requirements right? filtered and oiled?

No, don't do that. First you don't wanna use motor oil in the compressor and second you need to get fresh air into it not hot air out of the motor. I picked up that mister for $10 on amazon and the mini filter was $6. Just go pick those up and then get the connectors you need a home depot and your set.

Thank you and thanks for the D44 advice. How are you liking yours so far or can you even tell a difference?

Now that there is a tire hanging off the back of the jeep the rear view doesn't work as well. So I built a mirror finally.

Parts

1/4 thru the steel and the door hinge. And i forgot to take a picture of it but i notched the bottom of my steel with the grinder so it goes over the hinge plate and stays in place.

10mmx1.25 for mirror mounting on the other side.

Driving in to work this morning.

Default Front Clip

Got a complete front clip off craigslist for $100 with fenders. They are already chopped up so they might have to get replaced.

Thank you. The rack took maybe two weeks total from start to finish. And It set me about around $150 including the gutter mounts. Its the cheapest way to go and you get a custom rack to your liking too.
