Crow Bar and a Sledge hammer. Most useful tools for this job.
Getting the rest of the floor out.
What was left from the sheet when it finally came out.
Cleaning up more rust
As it sits currently.
I'm going out of town this weekend so I'm not going to make anymore progress til next week but then I will start cutting floor pieces and dropping them in. Also need to put in my supports for the cage while I have access to the frame. More pics coming soon.

I was going to try and sell my bumper for a couple bucks but I dont think that is happening now.
Due to the fact that my jeep has an aftermarket tow bar that is rusted on I had to cut holes into the bumper to get the darn thing off.
Now a bumperless xj for a couple weeks.

Looks like your voltage is a little low. Nice progress though!!
Sheet metal is super hard to do with a flux core. tack, tack, tack and then weld the tacks together.

Flux core. The welder is pretty weak so thats all I have to work with right now. I'm getting the hang of it now and since I bumped up to 18gauge its way easier to weld.

Made a little progress this weekend. I didn't have a ton of free time but I was able to get a floor piece cut and get the first frame for the storage area build too. I also got my frame inserts for the rear bumper cut this weekend but I don't have pictures of that yet so Ill post those later today.
Test fit
frame for the storage box sitting in place.
Another view of the frame.
sitting in place. one more piece to be cut and then I can start welding.

far far i prob have about 5 or 6 hours into it. Not a whole lot. I haven't had a lot of free time lately to work on it so it got pushed back a little. Im taking it wheeling this weekend and then I should be able to get the rest of the floor cut. I had to go buy a jigsaw and some metal blades cause using a disc grinder to cut 18 gauge sucks

Finally got a chance to make some progress on the floor of my jeep. I have been busy wheeling every weekend and working/spending time with the family during the week so i haven't done much but I did get the floor cut and set in place.
